Strong interest in Teal Park multi-million pound trade park

Strong interest has been shown from household names to sign-up to a new multi-million pound trade park in Nottingham.

Planning permission has been approved by Gedling Borough Council for the trade park phase to create a new 53,000 sq ft trade park and an industrial unit of about 30,000 sq ft at Teal Park off the Colwick Loop Road in Netherfield.

The exciting proposals for the £30 million mixed-use site have been put forward by Warwick-based AC Lloyd Commercial alongside Nottingham and Birmingham-based Henry Davidson Developments (HDD).

Work began this month at the 20-acre site to construct a state-of-the-art care home for people with residential and residential dementia care needs.

LNT Care Developments is expected to complete the 66-bedroom development in February 2021 which will include a cinema, garden room, library, hairdressing salon, coffee shop and tea shop.

Mark Edwards, managing director of AC Lloyd Commercial, said: “Receiving planning permission from Gedling Borough Council means we can start to transform this site into a thriving community and employment area which will create employment as well as a community hub.

“The scheme will provide job opportunities at 14 units on the trade park including the larger industrial unit.

“It is great to see activity on site to signify the start of work on the care home and we are attracting interest from local, regional and national occupiers for the trade park. We are hoping to make further announcements within the next few months once contracts have been signed.”

Richard Croft, director at HDD, said: “Interest from potential occupiers has increased over the past few months which has been encouraging and we expect this interest to continue once work starts on site of the trade park.

“Commencement of the care home is fantastic news and marks the first phase of construction on this key development for the area.”
