The Team

We listen and respond to the needs of our clients and partners using our local knowledge to deliver high-quality local and district centres which stand the test of time.

  • Scott Davidson – BSc (Hons), MCIOB, MRICS Managing Director

Scott founded HDD in 1992 and has worked in the property industry for over three decades. While retaining overall responsibility for the performance of the business, Scott is also involved in project delivery, ensuring that HDD’s professional, fair and honest approach to doing business is present every time the team works on a retail-led development.

Outside of HDD, Scott is a very keen cyclist, skier and runner.

  • Richard Croft – BSc, MRICS Director

Richard joined HDD in May 2006 and leads on large retail-led mixed-use schemes across the UK. He specialises in the delivery of technically challenging projects which contain a variety of retail, leisure and community uses. He is well known for his creative and flexible approach to problem-solving, which has helped him to earn the longstanding trust of both land owners and occupiers.

Richard is a keen golfer, skier and rugby enthusiast – although he now prefers spectating when it comes to the latter.

  • David Twomlow – FCA Finance Director

David has been HDD’s Finance Director since he joined the company in 2007. His role includes raising finance and co-ordinating development finance deals. One of his proudest achievements is helping HDD to continue to grow even during difficult market conditions post-2007.

When he’s not crunching the numbers at HDD, David is a keen runner.

  • Damian Middleton – BSc (Hons) Associate Director

Damian has been with HDD since July 2008. In his role Damian is responsible for bidding for new opportunities, retail lettings, investment sales, residential sales and carrying out due diligence on new sites. Damian played a key role in the £9m mixed-use development at Stanground, Peterborough: from the initial land purchase and planning process right through to construction, completion and the sale of the retail element.

In his spare time, Damian enjoys cycling, swimming and watching rugby.
