Popeye’s Drive-Thru Final Tenant for Thriving Teal Park, Nottingham

Teal Park a £30 million mixed use development in Nottingham from Warwickshire based property company AC Lloyd in their first joint venture with Nottingham based Henry Davidson Developments, have signed up Popeyes for a drive-thru and start on site is expected later this month.

Teal Park has been a huge success for businesses from a wide range of sectors attracting a number of high-quality operators and a real success story for the local area.

In addition to the employment units, Popeyes joins Birds Bakery, Valley CiDs charity shop and Pizza Triangle on the Local Centre element of the scheme.

Together with Aldi opening its doors in 2022 with such a great range of retail occupiers the area is a hive of activity and the local centre and the development as a whole have created a lasting legacy and will create over 350 new jobs to Netherfield and its surrounding communities.

Practical Completion at high-quality mixed use scheme at Houghton Regis

Practical Completion has now taken place at HDD’s Local Centre development at Bidwell West in Houghton Regis.

The scheme comprises a 66 Bed LNT Care Home and 56 Apartments pre-sold to Hightown Housing Association. In addition, the scheme includes a Children’s Day Nursery let to Ashbourne Day Nurseries a Convenience Store let to the National Coop plus ancillary units let to Dominoes, Codfather and Esquires Coffee. The last remaining unit is under offer.

Thriving Teal Park, Nottingham, ALL Employment and Trade Units Acquired

Northwood Urban Logistics have purchased all the remaining employment and trade units at the thriving £30 million mixed use development in Nottingham from Warwickshire based property company AC Lloyd and Nottingham based, Henry Davidson Developments (HDD) in their first joint venture. A 30,000 sqft unit has already been sold to the national self-storage operator, Storage Giant.

The trade park includes Toolstation, Screwfix, Howdens, Trent Valley Windows, Trent Valley Charging, Karcher UK and Paintwell. Selling the final phase of six large employment units totalling 116,835 sqft completed the deal with the specialist investor in UK logistics sites now owning the entire Teal Park development with the exception of Storage Giant.

Managing Director of AC Lloyd Mark Edwards said Teal Park was proving to be a huge success for businesses from a wide range of sectors.

He said “This was our first major development in the East Midlands and the Teal Park site has proved to be a fantastic success.”

Richard Croft, Director at HDD added, “The final six employment units which range from 9,606 sqft to 31,553 sqft are now under the ownership of Northwood Urban Logistics who will have responsibility for marketing the site. The development is a real success story for the local area, so far Teal Park has attracted a number of high-quality operators and I’m sure it will go from strength to strength.

In addition to the employment units, Birds Bakery and Valley CiDs charity shop are the latest retail units to have opened in the Local Centre with Pizza Triangle due to open its first restaurant in Nottingham in the New Year.

Construction begins at HDD’s Cranbrook Town Centre Scheme

Acheson Construction Commence Works at new Cranbrook Development.

Works for a new mixed-use development in Cranbrook, Exeter have commenced and were marked with an official ground-breaking ceremony on Thursday 29th September.

Located at the junction of Tillhouse Road and Court Royal, this much needed new town centre will include; a Morrisons supermarket, children’s day nursery, ribbon retail, residential apartments and a new market square.

Henry Davidson Developments Ltd (HDDL) are the company behind this important project and have partnered with local building contractor Acheson Construction Ltd who are delivering the construction works.

Scott Davidson, Managing Director at HDDL commented:

“HDD are delighted construction has begun on the Cranbrook Town Centre scheme, it is an important part of the wider Cranbrook development and with a great range of retail occupiers it will prove to be a real asset.  There has been a lot of interest in its progress since the plans were announced, so it is very satisfying for construction to begin and deliver the much needed town centre.  It highlights HDD experience and our ability to deliver developments of this size and variety”.

Operations Director Colin Johnson from Acheson said:

‘’Acheson Construction are very proud to be delivering this important project in Cranbrook and look forward to marking further important milestones as the project progresses’’.

East Devon District Council Leader Cllr Paul Arnott broke ground with the ceremonial spade to mark the commencement of the works and had this to say:

“My administration is thrilled to have broken the deadlock over the future of a new town centre in Cranbrook. This has taken dedicated negotiations by our officers and the political will to invest. I was delighted to meet the construction team on a very well-run site and can’t wait to go shopping in Morrisons as soon as possible”.

Further representatives from Acheson Construction, HDDL and East Devon District Council along with Cranbrook Town Council, Cranbrook Education Campus, Devon County Council, Mono Project Management, Baker Ruff Hannon, SGP Architects, Brookbanks Consulting and LiveWest joined the celebrations to mark this important occasion.

Once complete, vital jobs, homes and facilities will be created all set within an exciting community ‘hub’ for the Cranbrook area.

Richard Harrison, Land & Planning Director at Taylor Wimpey Exeter was in attendance saying:

‘’We’re all very excited for what we’re about to see here in Cranbrook. A lot of time and hard work has been put into the making of this new town and we can’t wait for everyone to see what the Town centre has to offer’’.

Gareth Jones, Development Director for LiveWest added a further comment:

‘’It’s fantastic to see the Town Centre being constructed and for LiveWest to play its part in supporting the delivery of the residential homes.  It is just what Cranbrook and its residents need and adds an essential element to the new community’’.

The project is running to programme and will complete late 2023.
