Henry Davidson Developments have been named as the developer that Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council and Staffordshire County Council will work with on a key regeneration project.
HDD has been unveiled as the preferred development partner for a mixed-use retail-led scheme based in the Ryecroft area of Newcastle which will help breathe new life into the town centre.
Outline proposals for the site – which could result in an initial investment of more than £40 million into Newcastle and create hundreds of jobs include:
• Up to 100,000 sq ft of new retail and leisure floor space.
• Student accommodation hub
• Retirement housing
• Car parking
The final block of retail consisting of 12,000 sq ft spread over 9 units has just been sold to L&C Investments Limited. Occupiers include Severn Hospice, Chicken Cottage and Papa Johns.
