A date for the dairy!

18th September 2013

The last letting of the east Block of HDD’s development at Buckshaw Village, Chorley, Lancashire, has taken place with the signing up of Coffee Cow, an independent coffee shop.

HDD completed the first phase of its redevelopment at Buckshaw in October 2011. The development at this stage comprised a 35,000 sq. ft. Tesco store and petrol filling station.

Phase 2, consisting of 30 residential apartments and a further 9,500 sq. ft. of retail space, was completed in July 2013. Other retail occupiers include an estate agent, barber shop, fish and chip shop, Subway and Italian and Indian restaurants. The letting to Coffee Cow completes the line-up and the project is now moving on to Phase 3.

The third and final phase sees another 9,000 sq. ft. of retail space in the pipeline alongside 29 more apartments. There is also planning consent for the construction of an additional 46 homes on a two acre plot of land and a children’s day nursery with five acres on site available for business-related development (subject to planning consent)

Scott Davidson of HDD said: “Our project at Buckshaw Village typifies what we do at HDD. We want our schemes to be a natural extension to the communities they serve. With Coffee Cow completing the line-up here we are confident that we have provided a retail mix that will satisfy the local residents.”
