Hanwell Fields, Banbury back to case studies

Hanwell Fields is located in northern Banbury and it was designed in close consultation with Cherwell District Council and Taylor Woodrow, which developed the new 1,000 home community that it serves. Hanwell Fields is the retail, community and leisure focus of the immediate area.

Anchored by a Mid-Counties Co-op supermarket, Hanwell Fields also includes a community centre, a pub and restaurant operated by Marston’s Inns and Taverns, Subway, estate agent, Indian restaurant and dental surgery. 39 residential apartments sit above the retail units.

  • A 4,000  sq. ft Mid-Counties Co-op anchors the development, alongside an estate agent, Subway, a fish and chip shop, a hairdressers, and a bookmakers.
  • 39 two-bed residential apartments are located on the first and second floors above the retail units.
  • Marston’s Inns and Taverns operate a two-storey restaurant and pub which is adjacent to the site entrance.
  • A community centre was built as part of the development and was gifted back to the Council. A dental surgery also operates on site.
